Over the years, people have started following the Mediterranean diet that consists of consuming a large amount of plant food (such as vegetables, cereals and fresh fruits) on top of their daily chore activity such as farming. Other than the plant food I had mentioned earlier, Olive Oil plays the principal role for the source of fat in addition with the different types of fishes (that can be caught in the Mediterreanean Sea). The promotion for June is on FISH and SEAFOOD and what better way for me to create dishes that not only has fishes in it, but incorporating the Mediterrean Diet AND the Japanese Cuisine. Why the Japanese Cuisine you might ask. Well, other than it being my first selection of the Asian Cuisine, there are some relations that I could find between the Japanese and Italian dishes that I had eaten when I was young. Of cause, with the Italian dishes that originated from Cilento and Vallo di Diano; in the province of Salerno where I was from. I hope you enjoy the dishes as much as I did while creating them.
